Jeryd

Jeryd and Ed first crossed paths when Jeryd enrolled at Arbor College | School of Massage. Their initial meeting occurred during a time of great anticipation and learning for Jeryd. After completing his studies, Jeryd felt a strong connection to the school and organization, so he decided to stay a bit longer. He applied for a position at Massage Remedy, the organization’s professional massage clinic. Reflecting on his decision, Jeryd said, “My thoughts at the time were, ‘I can’t imagine a massage business being more suited to my personal and professional needs and values.’” Recognizing Jeryd’s passion and potential, Ed responded by saying, “…and I was thinking, ‘This guy really gets our vision and has all the skills needed to help us grow our professional clinic.”
As they worked together over the years, their professional relationship blossomed into a deep friendship and mutual respect. This foundation naturally evolved into something more meaningful and profound.
On Saturday, June 6, 2020, amidst the celebrations of National Pineapple Day, Ed and Jeryd found themselves in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. They commemorated the 1984 release of Tetris, widely regarded as one of the most successful video games ever. Well…okay, maybe that wasn’t the real reason they were there, but you can read all about the true story in their blog. By this time, they had been dating for several years, and Jeryd had decided it was the perfect moment to take their relationship to the next level. His original plan to propose in early 2020 was interrupted by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, which momentarily paused the world and put many plans on hold.
Through an act of divine serendipity, they managed to escape to the mountains on the exact weekend Jeryd had initially intended to propose. In a romantic setting surrounded by nature’s beauty, Jeryd asked Ed the all-important question, and needless to say, Ed said, “Yes!”
After much thought and careful consideration, they chose to do things a little differently. They decided to dedicate two days to share the outward expression of their commitment with their friends and family. The Wedding Ceremony took place on the afternoon of Friday, October 1, 2021, followed by a reception the next evening. Jeryd and Ed believed that the essence of such an event was to celebrate with their loved ones. When asked, Jeryd said, “Well, honestly, if the point was just to sign the papers, we could do that at the courthouse. But WE wanted to create unforgettable moments and memories so that our friends and family could relax and enjoy the event with us.
