Sometimes making the hard decisions can be really easy. Lucky for me, when Jeryd and I began talking about who we would chose be on our side in the wedding party, I didn’t have to think very long about who I wanted. Here is a brief introduction to some of the amazing people you will see during the wedding. Each of these people have had a major impact on my life in one way or another. I am so honored and truly blessed to have each of them stand with me as I pledge my love to the man of my dreams.
The Best Woman…
Donna Maria Funk
Hmmmmm where do I start… I met Donna at CORE Institute of Massage and we’ve been besties ever since. Donna is like the sister I never had. I always wanted a sister and she taught me that you don’t need to have the same blood to be family. Not only is she my sister, but my best friend, confidant, counselor, and so much more. From the first time I met her, I knew that she was one of the most genuine people that I would ever meet. Her caring heart, her nurturing spirit, her beauty both inside and out, has been enough to grow our friendship. From shopping cart surfing to being the all-time amateur bowling champ, we’ve stood by each other through many life events. She will be the first person on the dance floor and the last person to leave it! She is such a beautiful soul and to know her is to love her, truly. I am beyond grateful that she agreed to be my best woman…because she really is!
The Groomsmen…
Paul Edward Justice
I met Paul at Lincoln Memorial University when we were undergrads. We became inseparable partners-in-crime and brothers. From the moment we met, Paul welcomed me into his family with open arms and made me feel right at home! Most of the stories I could tell about Paul would be equally embarrassing for me so…I’ll just leave that to your imagination. I love Paul for his kind heart and rather cunning sense of humor. Paul is an exceptional massage therapist with an infectious laugh and is always up for a deep meaningful conversation. I am extremely pleased he agreed to be one of my groomsmen.
Alex Christopher McKinnon
I met Alex through a mutual friend and we became quick friends. We share a rather off-the-wall, obnoxious, (although endearing) sense of humor that keeps us laughing most of the time we are around each other. He does one hell of a Miley Cyrus impersonation. Alex is a fixer…he can fix high-level computer network issues, as well as the problems that his massage clients have. I love Alex because he is one of the most loyal people I know. We’ve spent many late night/early mornings talking about life and fixing computer “stuff” (Well Alex fixed, I kept him company—mostly.) Alex has been more like a brother, than a friend to me and I extremely honored that he will be standing by my side as a groomsman.
