Dear friends and family,
As 2022 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on a year marked by growth, gratitude, and the steady comfort of the people who make our lives feel full.
Professionally, this year brought some exciting milestones. Arbor College–School of Massage grew exponentially, stepping into a new role as the only massage school in the metro‑Knoxville area. With more students seeking high-quality training, the school has never felt more vibrant or more essential to the community.
We also celebrated a major expansion for Massage Remedy. In June, we opened our second location in Halls, a milestone that still fills us with pride. Watching the company grow from a single practice
into a multi-location business has been one of the most rewarding parts of our year.
Amid all this momentum, we made sure to carve out time for rest and connection. In February, we slipped away to the mountains with Jeryd’s parents for a little getaway, and for a few days, we let ourselves play tourist, taking in the views, exploring local spots, and enjoying the simple joy of being together.
Later in the year, October gave us a much-needed vacation to Hilton Head, where we finally let ourselves unwind. We even ventured down to Savannah, Georgia, one of our favorite cities, for some sightseeing and slow, easy wandering. The trip was extra special because we also celebrated our first wedding anniversary, marking one year of marriage with sunshine, good food,
and the kind of quiet moments that remind us why we chose each other.
November brought its own kind of adventure. We rented a small space in historic Sequoyah Hills so Ed could have a quiet place to write and manage the early development of the upcoming podcast. And because no year is complete without a home project, we also had to gut the master bath, again. It wasn’t planned, but we handled it with humor, patience, and the hope that this renovation would finally be the last.
As the holidays approached, our home became the gathering place. We hosted both Thanksgiving and Christmas in Knoxville, filling the house with family, food, laughter, and the joyful chaos that makes the season feel complete.
Creatively, Ed spent the year sketching early ideas for the podcast, just the first outlines and world-building notes, but enough to spark excitement for what might come next.
And throughout the year, Jeryd continued deepening his love of ballroom dance, dedicating countless hours to training and refining his technique. Watching his confidence and skill grow has been one of the brightest joys of our year.
Most importantly, we spent a lot of time with friends and family. Shared meals, celebrations, long conversations, and everyday moments of connection became the true heart of 2022. Those gatherings reminded us how lucky we are to be surrounded by such love and support.
A Year of Gratitude and a Look Toward 2023
As we look back on everything this year held, we’re overwhelmed with gratitude. 2022 stretched us,
surprised us, and blessed us in ways we never expected. From professional milestones to quiet creative breakthroughs, from family trips to holiday gatherings, from new spaces to new dreams, this year reminded us how much can grow when you simply keep showing up with hope and heart.
Most of all, we’re grateful for the people who walked through the year with us. Your encouragement, your laughter, your visits, your messages, your presence, near or far, have been the true highlight of our lives. Every shared meal, every celebration, every moment of connection has meant more than we can say.
As we turn toward 2023, we’re carrying that gratitude with us. There’s so much on the horizon: new projects taking shape, new stories waiting to be written, new opportunities to learn, create, and grow. We feel energized, hopeful, and ready for whatever comes next, and we’re excited to share the journey with you.
May the new year bring you peace, joy, and moments of unexpected magic. Thank you for being part of our world. Here’s to 2023, a year of possibility, creativity, and continued connection.
With love,
Ed & Jeryd Bolden‑Greer
