When choosing who should stand beside you at such a momentous time in your life, if you are lucky the choices are easy. I feel profoundly blessed that each of my wedding party are both my family and friends. I didn’t have a dilemma at all in, choosing two brothers and my literal sister.

The Best Man…

Jordan Brown

Randall Jordan Brown is going to be my best man.  Jordan has been a fixture in my life for many years. We met through a mutual friend, when I was working at Panera and we became the closest of friends when he actually started working there as well.  Jordan is a wildly quirky, highly intelligent, and mathematically minded, super nerd. We played D&D together weekly, for nearly two years.  In any given room, Jordan will be the source of both the profound and the profoundly ridiculous.  Through the years, Jordan has joined the ranks of my chosen family and has been a font of reliable strength and great humor.

The Groomsmaid…

Rhiannon Greer

Rhiannon Faye Greer is my groomsmaid and biological sister. I have known her as long as I have known myself.  In the last score of years, we have loved, fought, screamed, sung, laughed, cried, supported, and cared for each other.  It seems my sister has always been a significant part of who I am.  I have always been her big brother, but for the last couple years we have been roommates. My sister is smart, beautiful, passionate, and talented in so many different ways,  Currently, she is pursuing an Ethology degree at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. I can’t imagine not having her by my side, as I marry the love of my life.

The Groomsman…

Spencer Hargis

Spencer Lee Hargis is my groomsman.  Spencer and I met while we were attending massage school.  We quickly noted a kindred spirit.  We are both nerdy, intelligent, and dedicated to helping those around us.  On our days off and sometimes after class we would play videogames or talk about nonsense for hours. More often than not, Spencer would kick my butt at the games we played, but that only served to make me try harder.  You can always count on Spencer for a kind word, a hearty laugh, and a caffeine fueled session of button smashing. Even though Spencer has a propensity to travel often, far, and sometimes without warning, when we get talk, conversation always feels like no time has passed.
